Terms of Service

The service

Preferd audits your Shopify products, gives each a GEO score, and—on your request—generates and applies AI content suggestions to improve how AI shopping assistants understand and recommend them. It also offers AI-visibility checks, AI-traffic measurement and a sector benchmark. Features available depend on your plan.

Eligibility & accounts

You must have an active Shopify store and authority to act on its behalf. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your store’s installation of the app.

Plans & billing

Paid plans are billed through Shopify (Shopify's managed pricing and billing) and appear on your Shopify invoice. Prices and plan limits are shown in the app before you subscribe. A free plan with limited AI optimizations is available so you can try the service before paying. Paid plans are charged when you subscribe and renew at the stated price until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the app or your Shopify admin; cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We use AI provider quotas per plan to keep the service sustainable; these limits are shown in-app.

AI-generated content — your review & responsibility

The app generates content suggestions using third-party AI models. AI output can contain errors or claims that do not fit your product. An individual suggestion is applied only when you choose to apply it after review. If you explicitly confirm Bulk optimize, the app generates and applies suggestions to the selected products without individual review. Applied changes can be reverted within 30 days. You are responsible for reviewing individual suggestions and bulk results, and for ensuring your published product content is accurate and lawful (including any claims, pricing and compliance requirements in your market). We provide the tool; the published content is yours.

Acceptable use

• Do not use the app to publish misleading, infringing, or unlawful content.
• Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the app or its infrastructure.
• Do not resell or expose the app’s functionality to third parties outside your own store without our consent.

Intellectual property

The app, its scoring methodology and software are owned by Preferd. Your store data and the content you publish remain yours. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app while these terms are in effect.

Disclaimers

The app is provided “as is” and “as available”. GEO scores, AI-visibility results and benchmarks are estimates to guide you; we do not guarantee any specific ranking, traffic, AI recommendation, sales or other outcome. AI assistants and Shopify may change at any time and affect results.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Preferd will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it, which deletes your store’s data (see our Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are violated or to protect the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Spain, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be subject to the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.

Data processing

Where we process store data on your behalf, our Data Processing Addendum applies and forms part of these terms. See also our Privacy Policy and Legal Notice.
